How to Get Your Dog Comfortable Wearing Goggles
Very few dogs accept goggles on the first try — and that's completely normal. With a few short, positive sessions, most dogs are happily wearing them within a week.
Start with treats, not straps
Let your dog sniff the goggles, then reward. Touch them to their face for a second, reward again. Keep sessions under two minutes.
First wear: keep it short
Clip the goggles on loosely for 10–20 seconds while feeding treats, then take them off before your dog paws at them. You want removal to be your idea, not theirs.
Add movement and fun
Once they tolerate a minute of wear, play their favorite game with the goggles on. Dogs quickly associate goggles with good things — especially car windows and wind in their face.
Check the fit
Two fingers should slide under the strap. Watch for pressure marks around the eyes — the foam seal should rest snugly without digging in.
